Christian Womanhood Spectacular 2007
Dr. and Mrs. Schaap greet the delegates.
Dr. Schaap is quoted as saying, “The whole secret to the Christian life is hinged on how much you believe God loves you.” This was the goal for this year’s Christian Womanhood Spectacular, “O Taste and See That the Lord Is Good!” Delegates from across the nation and world came to hear different speakers focus on making God more real to the delegates and filling their hearts with the praises of God.
The Spectacular opened on Wednesday, October 17, with a “Praise Fest” hosted by Dr. Ron and Shelly Hamilton. Delegates were able to enjoy a fun-filled evening as songs of praise were sung by Patch the Pirate, his wife, and a choir of children.
On Thursday morning the senior pastors’ wives were invited to a coffee and cake break with Dr. and Mrs. Schaap. At this break, the ladies were able to ask questions and fellowship with the Schaaps.
Ron Hamilton, also known as Patch the Pirate, leads a children’s chior.
The Thursday evening program was one of the highlights of the Spectacular. A dramatized program was presented using amazing stories collected from the Christian Womanhood Spectacular delegates. It was very evident that the presence of the Lord was there as ladies across the auditorium were moved to tears. The realization of God’s love was made real to ladies throughout this program.
At the beginning of the Spectacular, delegates were able to turn in names of friends and loved ones who were not saved. During the week, the Phoster Club called these loved ones and witnessed to them over the phone. The finale of the Spectacular was the reading of the names of those won to the Lord during the conference. By the end of the conference, 79 people had been saved as a result of this soul-winning drive, and the ladies of the Phoster Club still had more people to call.
