Christmas Lights 2007
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! You know Christmas is just around the corner when the Christmas Lights are turned on. Almost 700 of our students, staff, and faculty loaded buses and vans and took off for downtown Chicago for the annual Chicago Christmas Lights activity. The day began on Chicago's world famous Magnificent Mile with shopping and sightseeing among millions of twinkling Christmas lights. The event then moved to Navy Pier's Winter Wonder Stage for a Christmas concert featuring several of our students and staff. Following the concert, Christmas Lights attendees had unlimited access to Navy Pier's Winter Wonderfest activities including indoor rides and activities and indoor ice skating.
This year's Christmas Lights marked the 26th annual Hyles-Anderson College Christmas Lights activity. Christmas Lights began in December of 1981 with one bus of 30 students spending about two hours singing Christmas carols in downtown Chicago. Over the years it has grown to be one of the highlight activities of the semester.
